About me

Mike, a hobbyist photographer and cyclist, smiling during a hiking trip
Hi there! I’m Mike.

I’m a hobbyist photographer and cyclist who loves exploring the world on two wheels and with a camera in hand.

Landscapes and wildlife are my favorite subjects, although I’m occasionally drawn to architecture as well. You can explore my Landscape Stories and Wildlife Encounters, where every post shares not only a photograph but also the experience behind it.

My Nikon is the camera I reach for most often, while a compact Canon comes along on bike rides when I want to travel light and capture unexpected moments. If you’re looking to improve your editing workflow, visit Ride Photo Lab for Photoshop, Lightroom, and post-processing tips aimed at hobbyist photographers.

Cycling is just as important to me as photography. In summer, you’ll usually find me on a road bike, chasing scenic routes and the golden hour. When the weather turns colder, I switch to indoor training and head off the beaten path on a cross bike. Frosty mornings and quiet winter trails offer a different kind of adventure.

I also enjoy discovering hidden corners of Poland and sharing practical tips for fellow travelers and cyclists. In Cycling Adventures, you’ll find routes, destinations, and places that I believe are worth exploring.

Away from the bike and the camera, I work as a linguist, translator, and teacher. My fascination with language and storytelling shapes the way I write about my photographs and travels. I enjoy looking for the stories behind places, landscapes, and wildlife just as much as capturing the images themselves.

Whether you’re here for photography, cycling, travel inspiration, or editing tips, I’m glad you stopped by. I hope the stories and images on Shutter & Saddle inspire you to explore a little farther, look a little closer, and enjoy the journey along the way.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy exploring! 🚴‍♂️📸
